You must keep the Atkins food pyramid in mind when making food choices. The Atkins pyramid looks very different from the USDA Food Guide Pyramid. The base of the pyramid is composed of protein sources such as eggs, fish, beef, chicken and tofu. On a daily basis, your diet should mainly consist of these foods. The second pillar is low-glycemic vegetables like lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus and spinach.
